Medals of Merit, Valor, Ceremony Set for March 18

Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs will join Gov. Bob Ferguson, Lt. Gov.  Denny Heck, and State Rep. Sharon Tomiko Santos in awarding the Medals of Merit and Valor to legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix for his outstanding service to Washington and his national and international recognition and to four Washington Department of Ecology employees – Alex Hernandez, Lisa Stingley, David Thompson and Jon Tollstrup – for their selfless actions west of Cle Elum, Washington, on October 3, 2024.   

The event will take place on March 18, in the state legislative building.
